Yubitsume (DE/EN)

The yakuza bosses of Osaka have a problem. Their people are rotting, indiscipline is spreading. It can't go on like this! After the latest scandal, it's finally time to take action and apply the tried and tested methods. From now on: Yubitsume...Every misdemeanour costs a finger.

Yubitsume means finger shortening. The Heldbergs game takes up an ancient ritual of the Japanese Yakuza. In reality, it really hurts: if you screw up, you have to cut off a finger in the presence of the clan bosses or even cut it off completely. Ouch!

Our game is more bone-friendly. The point is to recognise as quickly as possible which of three cubes is unique with its motif or number of motifs. If you are too lame or make the wrong decision, you say goodbye to a finger. Whoever gets everything right collects rings and takes home the greatest honour at the end.
The rules are very simple and the fun is correspondingly high. And those who no longer have a finger can still use their elbows. Just like in normal life. But that's not what the instructions say.
