Split (Multilingual)

High, low, left or right? In which direction do you push the card in the middle? The choices are dwindling fast. Time for a joker! Whoever is the first to run out of cards is the winner of Split! Or you can raise the stakes and play the "Play Together" variant. The dealer shuffles all the cards and gives each player seven cards face down. Then the dealer takes two additional cards. The dealer chooses the highest and lowest standard cards from his/her hand and places them face up in the middle of the table so that the values of the cards are visible. The player to the left of the dealer starts, and then play continues clockwise. On your turn, you may only discard a card with a value that is between the values of the cards on the two split piles, OR a Joker. If you cannot play a card from your hand, you must reset the game. The players whose turn it is next can always decide whether to place the card from the center on the left or the right pile before placing a card in the center themselves. The first player to run out of cards is the winner!
