In Schatten der Macht, players wrestle for their factions for influence and power on the Aventurian continent. In the underground, they hire adventurers and acquire ships for fast crossings to ensure their influence in each region. Anyone who has infiltrated a region can use their resources: practical equipment for further adventurers, ship supplies for a proud fleet, new shoes for adventure travel and gold to infiltrate important organizations. Those who cleverly develop their influence on churches, magical circles, and grand aristocratic homes will find themselves in a good position to assist their adventurers in their fight against rivals and monsters and to impress the brightest heroes of the age.
