Post Human Republic: Aether/Helios Jetskimmer

The Helios is a high speed attack unit, designed primarily to hunt down enemy aircraft. It is armed with the RXs-5 Galaxy multi-rocket launcher. For what this weapon lacks in power, it more than makes up for in terrific rate of fire, where the sheer quantity of shape charge munitions can even pose a threat to enemy armour.

While the Helios is aggressive and flexible, the Aether is best used carefully and from a concealed position, where its indirect fire capability can hide it from return fire. It employs Black Nanomachine Hives similar to those on the Type-4 Hades walker; an insidious weapon capable of enveloping heavily armoured foes in a seething cloud of eroding death.

Both the Aether and the Helios are built on the same Jetskimmer chassis, making them fast and reliable. Although they lack the transport capacity of the Angelos, their heavy weaponry more than makes up for it.

The Helios's Galaxy Missile Launcher has a dizzying number of shots, able to shoot at two different targets each turn. While its Energy 6 isn't the highest, the Penetrative rule means it can potentially hurt even UCM mainline battle tanks - that is if it isn't too busy bringing down enemy aircraft. Meanwhile the Aether's Black Nanomachine Surge cannot target aircraft but tears through both infantry and vehicles alike, even without line of sight.
