We present the marble step track, the second in the series of modular marble tracks from Ugears. This exciting and fascinating wooden marble run features a step-like lifting mechanism with three stages and a number of new features that will capture your attention as you watch the cyclical journey of the marbles. For this DIY marble run, various tracks and elements have been combined into one compact unit.

The model features a 3-stage lifting mechanism that moves the marbles forward and backward as they climb upward to embark on their amusement park adventure. Which marble do you think will roll down which track? Which one will be the first to the bottom? The marble step track includes a collection holder for 3 marbles; the third marble opens its doors for the other two stuck there, and all three are sent down their different tracks. There are three courses: the first consists of a collection holder for 2 marbles and a serpentine track, the second is a rollover swing in a C-shaped frame, and the third features a funnel or vortex. Finally, all marbles pass through the collection platform toward the rocker lift mechanism. A rocker switch mechanism sends the marbles either back along the return path toward the stepped lifting device with 3 stages, or (and here's where it starts to get really exciting!) into another Ugears marble run connected to this one.

We have made the Ugears marble run series modular, i.e. each model works independently, but can also be connected frontally or laterally to another Ugears marble run of the same or a different type (with the help of special connecting elements supplied, 2 or 4 models can be connected, each in pairs). The rocking mechanism at the end of the track can send the marbles in one or the other, or in both directions (depending on the attached weight), so that the marbles roll either back to the original lifting device or to another marble track. With the marble runways contiguous, you now have an amazing and complex system of interconnected elements, all powered by a single crank. You'd think it was a miniature amusement park!
