The cash register is the ultimate tool for every salesperson and, as the name suggests, a data collection device. Often referred to colloquially as a cash register, the device was only developed in the second half of the 19th century. James Ritty, the landlord and owner of a saloon, was so annoyed by the constant shoplifting of his employees that he developed the world's first fully mechanical checkout in 1879. The resourceful inventor used mechanisms from steam shipping for his models. The UGEARS® vintage cash register follows these concerns and has provided its trade with a code lock.
The wooden model, consisting of over 400 individual parts, is a small work of art, which was designed in the style of retrofuturism and steampunk. The surfaces, which often appear openwork, reveal every mechanism and, as artful display objects, are the highlight of every showcase. Both coins and banknotes are accepted by the cash register through special openings and can thus represent an attractive coffee cash register in everyday office life. The UGEARS® model “cash register” is rather a small work of art in that every banknote disappears properly into a cash register using lever Technology.
This kit is made of MDF, is unpainted and needs to be assembled.
