Vienna was one of the great centers of Europe at the beginning of the 20th century. Artists, politicians, aristocrats, citizens and tourists populated the streets of the city. And the emperor was enthroned above them all.
The players are in the midst of the Viennese modernity and try their luck as hoteliers. To do this, they have to expand their small hotel and add more rooms. But the guests also want to be catered for. To do this, the players should have the right dishes and drinks ready for each guest. And additional staff is always an advantage.
But anyone who forgets to pay homage to the emperor can quickly fall out of favor.
Only one player can turn his small coffee house into the Grand Austria Hotel!
The starting player rolls the dice and distributes the dice according to the number of points on the action tableau. In his turn, a player chooses one of the 6 actions and executes it. The more dice there are on the action board, the higher the yield. After that, he takes a cube from the chosen action field and possibly performs additional actions. With the actions, the players can obtain the necessary food and drinks, prepare new rooms, hire staff, and curry favor with the emperor. But without customers, the hotel will not be able to develop. Only those who can attract the right customers and fulfill their orders will be able to carry out the important bonus actions.
But the staff cards also bring great advantages. However, players cannot do everything in only 7 rounds. Therefore, in this strategy game, the winner will be the player who makes the right decisions and assesses his options the best.
Since only some of the 116 different cards are in play and the starting position is very variable, each game is different and requires different strategies and tactics.
