Die Spieler begeben sich auf eine Reise durch die Berge, welche voller Überraschungen steckt. Arwen hegt den Wunsch ihren Vater Elrond zu besuchen. Darum bittet Celeborn die Helden, sie zu begleiten und sicher über das Nebelgebirge nach Bruchtal zu bringen. Aber es ist spät im Jahr und eine plötzliche Kälte hat sich über die drei Gipfel, die den Rothornpass bewachen, gelegt. Mit 60 neuen Karten, inklusive eines neuen Szenarios und je 3 Ausgaben an neuen Spielerkarten, führt Der Rothornpass die Abenteuer, welche in der Khazad-dûm Erweiterung begonnen haben, weiter. Der Plot beginntmit einer spannenden Reise in das Nebelgebirge. Um Der Rothornpass benutzen zu können, ist die Khazad-dûm Erweiterung notwendig!
